My Story, My Background, Why I Created Ms. Property

My name is Carol Robertson, I am a mature empty nester. I am a lover of the history of houses, Melbourne, and the Dandenong Ranges where I grew up and live today, and a supporter of the National Trust of Victoria, the NGV, and the Collingwood Football Club.

I help independent women over 50 with their real estate journey. They may need coaching or mentoring, they may need one-on-one assistance to buy or sell their home, or both. They may lack knowledge or confidence or want to have someone on their side, by their side. Someone to run decisions by and talk to about their future.

I choose not to work in the property investment space. I choose to work to raise awareness of the basic human need of the roof over your head because once you have the security of your own roof, you can focus on other things, other life essentials. Going to sleep at night with the comfort that you cannot be displaced or kicked out. Bad stuff happens to most of us, life happens, homelessness shouldn’t.

Teaching women that nurture also includes looking after ourselves, it’s not just for our children, our parents and everyone else that we put before ourselves.

Women should be able to grow older enjoying life, being safe, being secure.

I want to help older, independent women because these women are me. They are my sisters, my cousins, my friends, and the girls I went to school with. Through life women are often not dealt the fairest hand. I want to make their real estate experience friendlier, more knowledgeable, and improve their options.

The understanding that women over 55 are amongst the most disadvantaged when it comes to homelessness made me want to change this story, to create awareness, to educate and prevent, do what I could, thus creating Ms. Property. Change the Stats, Change the Story.

Ms. Property is awareness, coaching, mentoring, guidance for those who need my expertise and experience.
